Swiss watchmaking is one of the most respected in the world. There are produced some of the most exclusive watch brands in the universe and whose price can reach many hundreds of thousands of euros. What you may not know is that the bracelets for these watches are produced in Portugal.
Bradco is born of the resilience of Rosa Paiva, former production director of Clarks, who had the unpleasant task of informing the 600 workers of the English multinational in Castelo de Paiva of the exit of the multinational. Thanks to Alain Dubois, the president of the Swiss group Brasport, who decided to invest in Portugal, Rosa Paiva leads Bradco, a key company for the region’s economy, which is installed in Clarks’ former facilities. With a turnover of 12 million euros, Bradco exports 100% of what it produces, two thirds are destined for Switzerland.
Bradco was set up in July 2005. The company finds its genesis in the leather goods sector, but started its activity with the production of bracelets for high quality watches and, later in 2011, for top leather goods of range. The company belongs to the Brasport Group, created by the Dubois family, which has four production units spread around the world. The holding company employs more than 890 people in 7 countries.
Created to support the parent company, Bradco focuses its activity on the production of leather goods having broadened the spectrum for the following products: Bracelets: the only one to be produced in Portugal; Leather goods: Belts; Handbags; Folders; Purses; Wallets; among others.
Today, given its partnership with renowned brands, the company is consolidated, allowing a diversity of activities, always favoring gradual learning and multi-purpose training.
